All Mazdas Now iPod Compatible

Keenly aware of their youthful customers, the Japanese firm continues to appeal to lifestyle customers

mx5_ipod_200Starting today, Mazda Motor Europe will offer its cars with iPod® compatibility. The system consists of an adaptor whose only visible component is a jack in the glove box, to which an iPod® with dock connector can be attached. Customers can then play music files on the car’s factory-installed audio system using the audio controls on the centre stack or the steering wheel (if ordered); including Fast Forward and Rewind, Change List, Random Play and other functions.

It is also very practical to use. If you decide to leave the iPod® in the vehicle, you can secure it by locking the glove box before locking the car. And because it automatically recharges, you don’t have to worry about the batteries being low if you take the iPod® with you.

The iPod® adaptor is available starting now with the all-new Mazda MX-5 Roadster Coupe along with several models of the line up. These include the Mazda2 ; along with Mazda3, Mazda5 and Mazda6 facelift models without hard disc drive audio, and the third-generation Mazda MX-5 soft top.
