Luc Donckerwolke to Lead SEAT

The Belgian head of Lamborghini is to become SEAT Director of Design

Luc Donckerwolke will become SEAT Design Director

From September 15, Luc Donckerwolke will be appointed Director of Design of SEAT, coming from Lamborghini where he has been Head of Design since 1998 and created such outstanding designs as the Murciélago, Gallardo and Murciélago Roadster.

Mr. Donckerwolke will replace Walter de’Silva as Director of Design of SEAT, a position that Mr. de’Silva was combining with his role as Head of Design of the Audi Brand Group, and will also assume the responsibility of the Spanish company’s Design Center, currently run by Steve Lewis, who will assume new responsibilities within the Audi Brand Group.

“The appointment of Luc is another step in reinforcing SEAT’s commitment to design, which is one of the brand’s key values for its new positioning”, commented Walter de’Silva, Head of Design of the Audi Brand Group.

This movement between Lamborghini and SEAT design areas also emphasises the continued synergies and the high level of collaboration between the brands of the Audi Brand Group, the 'sporty' branch of the Volkswagen Group, where SEAT is integrated since 2002, together with Audi and Lamborghini.
