Opel Insignia concept car shows bold, sharp styling
General Motors recently launched an offensive with their latest concept - the Opel Insignia. Also badged as a Vauxhall for the UK market, the concept brings a little glamour to a brand often criticised for plain styling.
The Insignia is an ambassador of Opel's new confidence. This 'automotive vision of the future' shows how Opel's new design language translates to a large sized car for the very first time. In addition to its progressive, elegant and dynamic design, the Insignia features numerous innovations including the extensive use of LED-lighting and unique pantograph-action doors.
Accented by chrome, the bold, sharp exterior is sleaker and more dramatic than Opel's production vehicles. It is strongly rumoured that this vehicle, designed inline with available technology within GM companies, may form the basis of the Omega replacement in Europe.
